The 2015-2016 Year of CWC

Applications for Writing Club are in the RMS library right now! If you haven’t picked one up, now is your last chance. We may extend the due date for track 3, because they haven’t had the chance to prepare. However, for the other tracks, the applications are due Wednesday of this week (August 19, 2015.)

Please take this chance and send one in!

Attendance Policy

Students who are not tracked out may only miss a minimum of 2 meetings. Remember, you come to this club to improve your writing skills and learn  to connect with other student writers. We ask that you show up when you are supposed to. If for whatever reason, your homeroom teacher does not allow you to come, that is fine; we understand. All you have to do is tell one of the leaders and they will excuse your absence. Other than that, please show up on the day you are supposed to!!

Thank you,

Autumn Lundi,student leader

Batool Khadri, student leader

Welcome!

This is the official site of the Rolesville Middle School Creative Writing Club.

Our writing club will focus on improving skills and learning to connect with other student writers. We are open to projects and prompt suggestions as the club progresses.

Materials you will need:

  • A pen or pencil (preferably pencil, as it is erasable)
  • A highlighter
  • A journal, binder, or folder of loose leaf paper

Although our club is student-led and open-minded, we have decided on some ground rules  to help keep us focused:

  • Use the club time wisely
  • Keep an open mind
  • Treat every idea with respect
  • Even though we do not want students to treat this time as a class, as it is designated for creativity, we do ask that you pay attention and not interrupt the person speaking
